Join us! DFA picnic

Wednesday, August 10
Kellett Farm
72 Gordon Rd. Fairfield, PA

Bring your spouse or partner and join us for an early evening of friendship, talk, good eats, and (a little bit of) politics. We will hear brief presentations on the election and the state of our schools.

Please bring a dish to share, as well as plate(s) and utensils for yourselves, and wine or beer if you like. DFA will provide water, ice, and plastic cups, plus hot dogs and buns.

Please RSVP to leonsreed@gmail.com so we can get a good headcount!

Will 2022 be the last meaningful vote you cast?

Things will be decided in the 2022 election that, if they go the wrong way, will not be easily reversed. And no state has more important elections than Pennsylvania. Both our governor’s race and our US Senate race are gaining national attention because of the stakes.

  • Be sure you’re registered and have a plan to vote.

  • Make sure  your plan is consistent with voting rules. Just because you did it in 2020 doesn’t mean you can this time. If you’re not voting in person on election day, make sure you know the deadlines and the new rules.

  • Consider making a donation to Shapiro,  Fetterman, and/or Qually.

  • Volunteer. Contact ACDC or DFA.

 Vote! Volunteer! Donate!

DFA blog. Our blog is getting attention. It was a quiet backwater attracting about 75 visits a month earlier in the year. Our readership grew to 200+ visits in May, when we started making an effort to generate original content to 300+ in June, and more than 1,000 visits in July.  We have addressed the candidates for governor, commissioner, and US Senate; threats to democracy; the Supreme Court; January 6th; and other issues. We’re being read all over the state.
